    Today I Called in a professional mechanic to help with the install of injection system on our 72 Ceylon tii and change out the injections on my 73 inka Tii…took the inka for 65 miles check out run north shore lake Travis…

    Yes we did convert to R134a, so far it works great…

    First day back in the shop after 32 days away, while we were away the Elves came and finished the AC tie in / re charge on the Turkish princess…so I took it out for a drive.

    The rear shock towers look repaired to me, I would check for lower panel rust and engine compression…

    My thanks to Mike Self for the shout out in the Roundel this month, the Mid American 02 fest is by far my favorite event…many thanks to Bo Black, Barb Black, Keith Kreeger and all the other volunteers that make it happen…

    The Baur is by far my favorite car/2002, I like it much better than a convertible because you have the ability to keep the top on and take the sun off of you but still have the open back for the airflow… It will be very interesting to see what Rudy’s car sells for, it’s a very clean and well taken care of car and a very desirable color.

    I did nothing on the 2002, but Terry Sayther and I spent a couple of hours with Miklos Meszaros in Budapest touring his shop and talking about BMW E9 restoration…he is an incredible craftsman turning out beautiful cars.

    Said goodbye for 30 days, we are off to see Miklos Meszaros to pick up some pointers on my E9 refresh with a stop in to see Albrecht Walloth and Alexander Nesch along the way…back in a month.

    I prefer the Vredesteins but it seems the 185/70/13 are no longer made, I ordered the pirelli and delivery is set the end of August… I find the Pirelli to be extremely soft…

    Today I started sorting the parts out to finish up injection/pump/intakes on the Ceylon tii, its a lot easier to put back it all back together when you have one you haven’t taken apart to look at…that’s why you have to have two…

    Ed is correct, the rear windows and door seals are next…to replace existing seals is a couple of hours each side.

    Installed door trim out (lock/vent windows/ side windows mechanism/ trim/ sound dreading..)today both doors on Ceylon tii at least seven hard hours, not sure how many hours “ the book pays “ on the job….

    It is almost to beautiful to install but i did this morning, in our Ceylon Gold 72 tii it was professionally rebuilt, I hate working on The heater box..
