  2. Planning to install these on my Ceylon tii…I’m way into these after all the hours refreshing.

  4. Sunday morning slow start after headliner install…finishing up breaks on to electrical.
  5. This maybe a deal for someone both Tii’s look very savable and the Sahara car looks in good shape as well…a lot of time and money needed to add any value if you can’t do a lot of the work yourself… Should be a fun auction to watch…

  8. Welcome to the club. Hope the price was right, it’s needs a fair amount of time/money/work but has good bones and is well worth saving…not sure about the extra fuel tank sure there’s a story, but the rust I see is fixable and from setting out in weather and not from salt. Barney
  9. Dan, its a spray on sound deader/undercoating … I replaced both front floor pans and i wanted to seal up the seams. Dan i’m retired and the cars are my new job/project…its all about being able to put the man hours in consistently to made progress…also i was a General Contractor and we did not get paid until the project was completed, so I understand finishing the job… five cars completed in six years…
  10. Today, Greg Resa helped me and we loaded the 72 Ceylon tii up and transported it to the upholstery shop to have the headliner professionally installed…
  11. The glasurit paint and primer to paint a car is over 3k and would be wasted on a garage paint job…have the car painted by someone who paints cars and use BASF two stage in the Taiga metallic…my Ceylon Gold metallic in BASF Paint.

Ken, your are correct the bolt is facing the wrong Direction…I rebuilt that pedal box over a year ago on the bench and I never noticed that I had that in wrong… I rebuilt that box with the Ireland Engineering upgrade kit that puts bearings on the shaft so I’m hoping it’s good for a while and I am already 67 years old…Barney
  13. With a little help from my friends our 72 Ceylon tii goes together one piece at a time ….Ed Zinsmeyer and Craig stopped by the shop after cars and coffee this morning and helped install the front subframe…
  14. Many thanks to Greg Resa for stopping by today and helping me install the pedal box…fuel line/horns/break lines installed…
  15. Second full day of assembly, five hours unwrapping and rewrapping the wiring…installed wiring and the insulation pad. Pedal box and hydraulic lines next…
  16. Started assembly today on our Ceylon tii, set the rear subframe…wiring and hydraulic next.
  17. It starts going back together today…
  18. Finally we were able to pick up our 1972 Ceylon Gold tii this afternoon after almost 16 months…looks great I’m very happy with work done.

  22. The holders I made were copies of Randy Anderson’s design…with a little enlargement to allow cup hole to be larger…I got tired of moving the one made by Randy I had won at Mid American a few years back from car to car…
  23. I made 16 of these and gave them away as door prizes at the Mid-American fest…
  24. Went and checked on progress today and it looks like maybe i may be able to remove my painters name from my bad list, he may Actually finish my car in the next week…
