the L-shaped steel mounts make the bumper very close to the body panel...the loop shaped is what I have heard called the 2.5 mile per hour mount holds the bumper a little over an inch away they the in between before the change to the 5 mile per hour bumpers that also work well as seats...picture of install with L shaped.
RenaissanceMan...having both a tii and single carb car the way the horsepower is delivered is much different between the two ...my single carb car seems much quicker/more torque er in everyday driving...if you are racing I have no idea of how it all works out...what's your end goal?
otto...I used the IE stainless with headers and really like the sound, it did take some fine tuning to keep from banging...overall happy with system, great customer service from IE...Barney
this was after repaint I'm sure it no longer that clean...
Vana2002...I had the same problem, could not find one or wait any longer...I ended taking the pieces of what was left of my old one and rapped it with the duramat sound proofing...used laquer thinner to remove ink/matter on duramat to a silver finish / it fit the profile / made holes easy to find...looked / worked better than I thought it would...good luck
