  1. I like the color atlantik so much I'm changing the color to Turkis...I love blue cars but BMW does not have a very good selection to chose from....
  2. Can anyone tell me if this transmission will work in a 2002...it's from a 1990 325i m20
  3. remove it....best mine ever did was to cool down my knee anyway.
  4. Thanks for all the input, it's seems the best starting place is the 84/85 318i box and some type of GPS speed reading set up...at this point I'm going to put what I have back together with new oil and see how it goes while being on the lookout for the m10 box / 4HP22H than I would/will need....thanks Barney
  5. Looks good, but how will the interface with linkage/lever/work? Are we getting a bearing or some other improvement than existing?....please show other side....best to fab some of both colors
  6. nothing that a few days of cleaning out won't sort out....

  9. My desire is to keep it an automatic...thanks for the information FunkyLaneO...does anyone know the year range for the 318i automatic I should look for?
  10. I purchased a 75 shell with an auto trans and no engine, I'm reworking the car and installing a known good engine I have no information if the automatic transmission is any good and I'm thinking of trying to find an upgrade automatic if I'm going this far down the road to "restore" this one owner...what would be the best year/model to look far in an automatic? thanks Barney this is what I have now...
  11. I think those are known as the 2.5 mile per hour bumpers late 72-73 as they moved to those good looking 1974 5 mile per hour impack bumpers

  15. Wanted to let everyone know what great service I had from Ireland engineering, I purchased an SS exhaust system from them after a few months I developed a rattle inside the resonator I called IE and within days I received a new resonator...I've always been happy with IE this experience just reinforced my positive feeling about them...Barney

  17. Been working on my 74 for almost a year between tear down / re-paint / reassembly....first day in the sun.
  18. flagoworld....thanks for the heads up, the one I have matches the one listed from pegasusautoracing it has a seat at the end of the tapper...looks like it's meant for a 40...I'm ordering new needles and jets today...
  19. 2002VT...I find much easier to use the pans from W/N as a starting point they fit the contours of the existing floor and make fit up so much easier and the left over parts of the panel can be used for other small repairs...
  20. I'm having the same trouble getting my 38/38 to idle well...attached is a picture of the idle screw/needle can someone confirm that this is the correct idle needle as it's different from all the others I have seen...
  21. best thing would be to have another car there to look at...if a picture is worth a 1000 words what would another car to look at be worth...
  22. arminyack...one more thing, when I took out the coverage I paid like $75 more to be able to get what was left of the car back if it was totaled...a basic 72/74 2002 was valued at 20k and a 73 tii was at 25k....seems like I told them I drive each car a 100 are so miles every other week came out to less than 3000 miles a year...best of luck...Barney
  23. interested thread please keep us informed of how it goes, I have my three 2002s with hagerty's as well, we talked about limited mileage like to car shows and for pleasure...pleasure sure seems to cover a lot of area...in the end they never did ask me for the mileage on any of my cars so how will they know how many miles I've put on the cars... did you give them the mileage on your car? the way I remember it was three thousand miles a year per car
  24. he will never sell that car with only four pictures posted...It will many more to capture the unique/custom finishes, yes it is one of a kind.
