  1.  Hagerty Website quoted me  $563. for a year @ $25,000.  That was driving whenever but not a daily.

Was hoping for a little less and I have a garage.

    Hagerty      $563.

    Condon Skelly   $357.15

    American Collectors $448.45

I have ACI.   Might have to follow up on CS to see how much I can drive it.

  2. IIRC I seen this 2002 at The Vintage in 2018.  The exterior paint work was very well done.

I didn't get to look under the hood or trunk.  I believe it was for sale at around 30k back then.

I was looking to buy at the time and decided against this one just cause the exterior paint was too nice,

yes too nice for a driver.

Agreed that the photos are to doctored and a little surprised BAT would allow so many photoshopped pictures.

I"m not a fan either of the painted black trunk or underhood.  Leather dash I could do without, meh.

Nice 02 yeah, 50k don't know but a couple people thought so. If the buyer is happy, good for him.

Like I've said before my Son does muscle car restorations. They have probably done five to ten 69 Camaro's

with budgets of 200k to as much as 500k, yes 500k and they went over budget.

    It's only money.

I had checked their website and they do not show a spoiler that ties to fender flares.  I have a feeling this is a one off piece that has not made it out to production or is a special fab order $$$

Oh could be,  if your serious email him, their very responsive and I'm sure he would do one for you.

I had questions on the header they sale. He got got back with me that day with all the info I needed.

I have  his speaker kit and some console stuff.  They do great work.

  4. Always liked the spoilers f/r that you can get on the 2002.  Debated a couple times to add the Zender rear and maybe

a small front spoiler.  But then the car looks so great without anything and just clean body lines.

Same thing with fender flares, some look so bad ass then others just meh.

Such  great little cars with almost too many options.

For $40 I hope you mean sand blasted, a can of aircraft paint stripper is like $10.

I had it dipped wanted the inside to be a clean as possible also. Turned out like new.

Plus I didn't have to do a thing.

If you can still find a good radiator shop, they should be able to strip and repair the tank.  Some years ago a sharp piece of metal got kicked up on the highway and punctured my '73's gas tank.  Removed it, drained it and then took it to a radiator shop.  They purged the tank (ran a hose from a running car's exhaust into the filler pipe) and then soldered a penny over the hole.  It's still there.

Have you priced a tii tank new (presuming they're still available)? I think yours would be worth saving unless it's terribly rusted inside.

    Mike

Thanks Mike, No one near me repairs them.  My Son is a pretty competent fabricator so if need be.

I thought tii tanks were hard to come by and this is the rarer of the two I'm guessing.

I Might have to put it on the list of things to do.

    thx people

  6. So I restored a used gas tank a while back  that turned out pretty well I thought.  I think I could of just bought the MVP one at $369. and be done with it, for what I have into the restored one.

My question is what to do with my old one. The tank has some rust and appears to have a fiberglass patch. Is it time to send it to the recycler and just be done with it.

Or strip, patch and paint the thing. It does appear to be a tii tank that are kinda hard to come buy, I think ??

    Thoughts, opinions please.

  7. Went for a quick spin today when rearranging the driveway parking lot. Shifter clanging and sloppy as hell.

Quick search says shifter bushings. So my Son was going to do some welding on my header so off it came.

Header is pretty tired looks like three exhaust leaks at the head cause the flange has been welded and ground to fit better.

Plus the coupling at the end is cracking.  Time for a new exhaust I think.

Would love the new Kooglewerks one but their three to five weeks out.  Thinking the Ireland Engineering one. Will take suggestions also.  Oh the shifter,  just lost the 10mm nut at the back end. Problem solved.

Electric fuel pump in the trunk with inertial switch cutoff feeds the Filter King which is mounted on the firewall behind the brake booster. The electric pump cured all the issues I had starting the car after any time it sat for more than a week. The arrow shows a 20(?)A inline circuit breaker I installed so that I can work under the hood with electrics on and have a way to kill the fuel pump. Since this pic I have also replaced the alternator and removed the external regulator and just generally cleaned up the wiring ?

Do you leave the gauge on all the time ? Most everyone that sells them states to take the gauge off after tuning.

Or is that just lawyer talk.
