Appreciate it!  And, thank you.  I'm actually contemplating installing a set of E39 seats into my '74.  Just doing my initial investigating.

I have a e39 Touring with the e38 sport seats in it. The e39 sport seat is not a small seat. Might be doable but would think you need to remove all of the welded in 2002 seat mounts. Also the seat is out of a sedan and won't tilt forward  to access the back seat.

  2. Install a bunch of stuff I have for it.

3 piece Panasports need to be bored a smidge, at 56mm need to be 57.1.  So close but so far.

New Proxes R1R or Advan AO52  I think.

Install Recaro front seats I bought a year ago. Just have to weld up custom bracket,PO removed everything to install e36 seats.

    Install refurbished gas tank.

Need 3 gauges for my Kooglewerks center console.

Need to purchase inertia switch for my electric fuel pump.

Want to do relay for headlights.

Get my 40 DCOE Webers dialed in,I'm at 90% I  think.

Drive it a ton. Looking forward to Mid-America, The Vintage and whatever else I can sneak in.

Do some lapping days at Gingerman Raceway cause its forty five minutes of backroads from my house.

  3. So 2020 was for sure a bit of a strange year. My biggest accomplishment is honestly me just being here.  I had the pleasure of spending 17 days in February/March in the hospital, having an autologous bone marrow transplant because of a  blood cancer known as Multiple Myeloma.  The good news is they have a 94% success rate and continue to make great strides in the treatment. So will be okay I think.?   Anyways back to my 2002. I must agree with several posts on what a great site this is and let me get my mind on more fun things, like my 2002.

I spent most my time on lots of small details, new center console, correct gaskets and had my valve cover and stress bar powder coated. Also new spring pads and such.

I did spend some money on cool stuff. I found some 3 piece Panasports and a new used gas tank to install.

I also have a pair of Recaro's that I bought but have yet to install.

So looking forward to a busy and normal 2021.  Looking forward to Spring.

Did you try the "rub test" with the heater on?  That hose might swell a bit when flowing hot coolant...just a thought!

Valid concern I think, no I haven't.  My biggest concern is the engine movement of just driving the car.

I would think a hose coupler could add a half inch and that would be plenty of room.

Add that to my winter to do list.?

  5. I have 40 DCOE's with the Ireland Eng.Water Bypass kit and halboyles ti throttle linkage.

The connection at the throttle linkage and the long vertical rod is very tight fit for sure.

I had to tweek the ti linkage, the long rod and the lever at the pedal box .

For me I wish the hose was a half inch longer out of the firewall then make the 90° turn would give you plenty of clearance.

Pictures show how tight it is.  Its been installed all Summer and shows no sign of rubbing on the hose, wich seems hard to believe.

  6.  I've been looking since I bought the car April 2019.  Wanted something different or old school. Kept coming back to Panasports.  Very hard to find and thought I had found some but the seller backed out and said he sold them to his Brother. WTF.  Found these last week and jumped on them, been restored already.  Couldn't be happier and can't wait for Spring.
