  1. So cutting some wood siding with my table saw to fix a bad piece on my house, one of the pulleys on the motor go flying across

the garage and smacks the passenger side door on the 2002. Left a nice quarter size dent, didn't break the paint so will see if they can PDR it.

WTF f*%k 2020,,   I can't even drink cause I have blood work in the morning and it can screw up my white count.  Need to keep my Oncologist happy.

    crappy pic of crappy dent.

Those look awesome! Amazon?  Link?   Thx!

Not cheap but works well, have the screwdriver/ratchet holders also. Tools don't slide around and saves time looking for stuff.

  3. Nope,   Mom look what I found can I keep it ?   Looks like a total money pit to me.

What's the saying.  The cheapest BMW's end up being the most expensive.

Throw a couple grand at then you have a running car with a lot of rust.

    Better examples out there.

Hey JP5, how hard of a process is that to do, and do you know how long it lasts once done?  Thanks!

I bought the tank used for a pretty good deal I thought.  I had it dipped for $50. and the Red-Kote was $34.  Plus I still need to paint the exterior.  I cleaned the inside again with Acetone per Instructions. Depends on the inside condition of your tank how much work you need to do in regards to rust.  Pull the sender and fuel pick up then slosh the acetone or Red-Kote around for like 20/30 minutes.  Then drain excess. Red-kote needs a day at least to 3/4 days dependent on the temperature.

People have had pretty good luck with it lasting.  My search found 02 owners from 5 to 10 years ago with no problems.

Red-Kote states tanks are out there from  1985 still fine.

I'll be posting all day here..its my last day as an owner (for awhile). Tomorrow I become a non owning 2002 2nd class citizen

Beg to differ, First Class all the way. Hoping your Mom does well and a 02 is again in your future.

Good luck with all of this.

  6. My new to me used gas tank  showed up today.  Appears to be in pretty good shape.  Did a kiddie pool and soap test, no leaks at the seams.  Inside needs a good cleaning and the O-rings are rock hard,no surprise their.  Will do over the winter since The Vintage was cancelled till May.  Waiting on my Weber parts that they screwed up on,,,,uuuuugh .
