False statements and blatant lies absolute yes.
Maybe the seller bought thinking bargain and not knowing the real vin or maybe he's a crook.
But until someone looks at and compares all the vin stampings you would have no idea what this car really is.
I'm saying someone shopping for potential value she might be worth a drive to Valencia the car won't lie.
Love the optimism ?

+1But just wait, Dan. A new owner will appear here four months from now saying, “I paid $39K for this ‘72 tii three months ago, but some ‘02 owners at a Cars & Coffee are suggesting it’s not a ‘72 tii. The title even says it’s a ‘72 tii. What gives?”
Best regards,
Steve
So true

Changed the main jets in my 40 Webers. Butt dyno says it's a good thing.
Need to order some bigger Venturi's then just a little more fine tuning.
-
The only thing that says 72 is the owner. Wonder if anyone has tried to contact him.
I get the idea someone thought they had a quick flip. $$$

The top one is what I have for my 02. I have a tii engine in mine. BluntTech had me email them a photo of my cap.
They said there are variables on what cap will fit even if you have the part number.

I have this on my 2002 with 40 webers. Works like factory, very nice system love mine.

Well I opened Pandora's Box and found Weber 40 DCOE's and a afr gauge. Had my youngest ride with me while I read him numbers to write down off the afr gauge. Then checked the timing and was going to change points but I have the wrong one,,duh.
Went through and checked my jets and emulsion tube to see what I got. Did a little research and found nobody runs the same set up.?
And so it begins.

Agreed, looks like a squaretail. I would put a ad in the parts wanted section for the grill. You should be able to get one there.
-
Drove it a couple hours on back roads, under the guise of getting data off my new afr gauge.

Bought a 73 tii in the late 90's had a 86 Golf GTI with a Callaway turbo and a Suburban . Suburban was stolen out of Detroit Metro Airport. Only kept the tii one year then sold it cause too many cars. Bought this 73 last May owning two e39 Tourings and a 05 Mazda 6
soon to be a Mazda CX-5,plus lose a Touring and get a Silverado for my winter vehicle. My oldest has a SIlverado and a 73 Camaro that will be a Pro Touring ride. Plan is bigger place and pole barn next spring.
