  1. Where's the best place to buy a rebuilt one?
  2. I have a 76 that hasn't run in quite some time. Has a lot of the typical 02 rust, drivers floor, rockers, spare tire well, corners at the bottom of front and rear glass. Shock rowes, door bottoms and rear 1/4s are solid. Has a 2 barrel weber, otherwise stock. It's an a/c tun top, but I may be pulling the a/c for my other 76 02. Chamonix with blue vinyl. Have CA emissions parts that could go with it as well as a set of bottle tops. The majority of the exterior is on primer Price is negotiable Mark 410 330 1437
  3. I haveca stock 1976 2002 and have to sort out the brakes. I noticed that the early e21 master is cheaper than the one for my 76, and more plentiful. Is this a good option/upgrade or are their better options? Since I'm having to replace a lot of the braking system, are there worthwhile mods to make? TIA.
  4. It's all down to desire. Unlike many here, I'd rather dive into a rust bucket than a repaired 02. Most, if. Ot all 02s have had some form of rust repair (just like when I argue with 356 guy, these things were rusting on the trip over). So, there's not likely to be many secrets. Also, your skill set will dictate time. I can casually do beetle pans in a day. Afternoon really. But, I have a game plan, tools and do proper prep. Those who see 10k in metal need to practice their metal work. It's more like 2.5 to 5k in metal and 5k in paint and materials.
  5. Willing to sell just the driver's side? How much to ship to 20882? Thanks
  6. As long as it's surface rust, you're fine. Just realize that, all these guys spraying clear over rust, is slowing it down, but not stopping it. Once it gets real pitting/texture, you're impacting integrity. You could always do the worst panel(s) and leave the rest original.
  7. Have to make arrangements to get it up here. Trying to move a car or 2 on first. Selling my 89 900 turbo and mt 95 S2 Avant. It'd be nice if they found new homes soon as I'm thinking the 02 will take up more than 1 parking spot. Lol
  8. I can't find a digital copy of ran when parked. Looks like a good read.
  9. The reason is I've bought, sight unseen, a 76 that looks pretty solid for $700, just because, and looking to kinda do the same thing.
  10. I fell upon a recent article where someone bought a really rusty 74 tii out of Baltimore and made it road worthy but still rusty. Can't find it now. Anyone know the link?
