There is some confusion regarding this car’s manufacturing date: December 1967 per a Hemmings for sale listing but January 1968 per the VIN decoder offered by the BMW 2002 Car Club of Columbia. Regardless, this car was manufactured in either very late 1967 or very early 1968: it’s a 1968 model either way.
Visible 1967-model attributes include the silver-painted bezel on the instrument cluster and an outside rear view mirror mounted near the leading edge of the driver’s door.
