Air Dam ID

This NOS air dam has a BMW sticker on it (no part number), with a delivery date of 1978 to Vasek Polak, famed dealer here in Southern California.

Anyone have photos / hard evidence to suggest what it is? -KB

Really great find. $59.95. Looks like an early Motorsport front spoiler. GS Tuning used something similar. If it came from Vasek Polak it was either AlpinA (which this one isn't .... or Motorsport). There weren't that many offerings back then from aftermarket folks and given his reputation he wouldn't be offering anything that wasn't first rate. Check the link below

and page about half way down on "Recent Updates" and find "Vasek Polak Racing - A Blast from the Past " 2-01-12 and click on that link. Catalog I believe from the early 80's (?) .... maybe late 70's... Page down until you find the page with the BMW stuff on it. Similar to what you have, brake ducts are a different, plus a few other minor details. (2.8 RSR Hi-Butterfly Injection Kits for $600/Ea.....sign me up please for like six of those.....)

isn't a Part Number on it with the bmw

Is yours abs plastic or fiber? Mine is fiber and came from a 70's racecar
