body and interior Euro Spec Speedo Question

In my parts bin, I have a Euro spec 02 instrument cluster that I picked up in a flea market near Stuttgart in 2008, It's all black (71-73 era) with a 200 KMH speedo and a clock in place of the tach. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that all 1502, 1602,& 1802 came with a 180 KMH speedo, 2002 has a 200 KMH speedo and 2002tii had a 220 KMH speedo. Can anyone confirm that?

Ray, Thanks for the tip, I went to Real OEM and it didn't show anything so I went to the Walloth & Nesch webpage and checked their speedo's that they had for sale. The speedo's they have on sale confirms that 180 KPH speedo came on 1502, 1602, and 1802. As Steve mentioned above, his 2000 touring has a 200 KPH speedo so I'm pretty sure 2002's received a 200 KPH speedo and I've been told by numerous sources that the tii has a 220 KPH speedo. I'm guessing that the turbo speedo is 240 KPH???

jgerock, I have the same brochure in my literature stash, I believe they are saying the tach is an option instead of a clock which came standard on most 02 Euro spec models.

You are right Gordon,

 

180 speedo is for all cars with non-2-Liter-engines with the only exception being 1600ti - 1502, 1600-2, 1602, 1802. Shows correct speed in combination with a 4,11 differential.

200 speedo is for all single-carbed 2-Liter cars with differential 3,64.

220 speedo was mounted in 2002TI - only early type with silver middle part and chrome ring - and all 2002tii. For the all-black tii speedos there are two types: One is for use with the 3,45 differential that came with the early tiis, other is for use with the 3,64 diff that was mounted in the roundies later.

240 factory speedo with white crossed lines is from turbo with diff 3,36.

 

There are some other and very rare 240 and also 260 speedos that came from Schnitzer and Alpina for the chrome and all-black types.

Lars, thank you, that answers my question. As I thought, I have a 71-73 Euro spec instrument cluster from a 2002 in my parts bin.
