Pic Request...185/55R15 On 15X7 Rim

Does any body have a few pics of a 185/55R15 Tire mounted to a 15x7 rim on their '02? Maybe a side view to show fitment? I know that the tire fits (it should have a very slight "stretched" look from what i can estimate) but if anybody is running this set up, a few pics wouldn't hurt. Cheers

A 185 tire on a 7 inch wide rim is mighty skinny--not sure that's an approved tire width for the rim...

Well I bit the bullet last night and mounted up one of my tires to one of my rims. Needed to see how this was going to look and I'm pretty happy with it actually. Doesn't seem stretched and I actually think that this will help with fitment as I'm going pretty low and don't really want to pull or roll my fenders if I can avoid it. The tires are 185/55-15 Toyo T1R and per spec, they are only .4" narrower than the 195/50-15. Anyways, i'll post a few more pics once I get everything mounted up this weekend. I think I also found a car which is running this set up and I think i looks perfect. Well see.

  • 4 weeks later...

So it's been almost a month, how have they fared? I was searching around to see if anybody thought that a 185/55/R15 would work on 15x7's....because I wanted to see if the Toyo T1R could go on a 15x7 for my E36! Awesome you may have already done this, would love feedback.

Thanks!

Nick
