JE forged Hemi-Sphere pistons 90mm - SOLD -

Price:: 349

Location: : Sofia, Bulgaria

For sale is a set of 4 JE forged Hemi-Sphere pistons 90.00 mm for M10 engine. In brand new condition - only one of pistons is very very slightly used without any visible wearing - If the PO didn't tell me i wouldn't note this.

I bought them for my 73 2002 tii, but then i decided that since it's a Tii it will worth more if i go with stock engine parts. So i sell them like i bought them from a guy in the US.

Weight - each piston is around 0.470 kg instead of the stock 0.700 - 0.720 kg.

Compression ratio: with these pistons you will have CR around 10,5 - 11.0 :1 depends on the head gasket and the cylinder head.

Head gasket - you can use the stock one, because there are original oversize pistons by BMW at 90 mm

NO piston rings included - You have to order new set by JE using the following information:

Part No: 125220

Piston set is ordered in JE on 01/19/1995 with order #59115

Price is $430 $389  $369 $349 ---- SOLD ----

1. I've PMed Eurotrash, but to tell it here - you can use whatever head you want. It doesn't matter, because the fuel camera have to be cut out to hemisphere profile.

2. Retainers are included, yes

3. Wrist pins are not included

4. I don't know about the ring set, i decided not to use them before i search for rings at all.

The job ticket sais that the pistons are ordered in JE on 01/19/1995 with order #59115, piston part No. is 125220.

I guess this will help you to order ring set for the pistons. :)

@burndog, cam is 292 regrind, you have a PM

@oldschool bimmer, these pistons are made for 2002 M10B20 (so 2l crank, yes) and will take you to 10.5 - 11.0 compression ratio. It depends on many things, like head type, head gasket (the ones that are 90 mm have a few variations), how much time the head was repaired / refurbished through the years, you know each repair / refurbish requires surface grinding.

That's why i can't give an exact compression ratio, this is what the PO told me when i bought them and i believe it is true, still keeping the conversation with him

Bump $349 OBO

P.S. My mechanic showed me a repair manual genuine by BMW that shows there are stock oversize pistons at 90mm, which means that stock head gasket will work also. That makes the mod a lot more cheaper.

Stock head gaskets measure at roughly 90.17mm - meaning no 'special' head gasket required to use these 90mm pistons.

A good buy at this price.

bump, cam is also for sale (only with pistons, because of the more expensive shipping) - 292 regrind, never mounted $160 shipped for it. If you buy the pistons and cam together i will make a discount
