VIN 2761579. Probably manufactured April 1972. Engine number 2761836. Probably manufactured May 1972. No tii firewall notch, implying plastic, not aluminum, intake runners at original production. The existing plastic intake runners could have been carried over from the original engine, or could be from the replacement engine: I don't know the VIN cut-off from plastic to aluminum intake runners, assuming (a.) there is an actual VIN cut-off, and (b.) the cut-off occurred late in the U.S. '72 model year. Chrome hinges on the front seats, consistent with virtually every U.S. '72 tii I've seen -- with seats that were convincingly original to the car. It does appear that only tii models received the chrome hinges this late in the game, a notion I once rejected as ludicrous! Heater fan switch is next to the instrument cluster; it has not yet migrated down to the slide controls.

Regards,

Steve

Seems appropriately priced given all the recent 02 hype that's going on and the bottom feeders getting into the flipper game.

I would not buy it knowing what it costs to restore one. Make it a driver car and clean it up a little for an additional $5K and somebody will likely make a few buck afterwards. As long as they don't valuate their time into the selling price.

But what do I know?
