I saw this ad and thought I would pass it along.  A 1970 BMW 2002 in some variation of Blue (deep pastel) over black.  The color kind of works on this car with the bright work, some dings and paint issues, chin spoiler, engine upgrades.

I saw the ad last night and there is already a long line of people waiting to see the car in person. I'm in line to see it.

My guess is that the first person who sees it will buy it unless the rust issues are significant.

Aww, I'm guessing at 10? I'm near the front, but I guess it will be spoken for by that time if it isn't falling apart with rust issues.

Agreed. But, I've been looking for so long for something fairly complete at around this price I've thought I might have to fly to CA to pick one up. The ones in the South seem so often rusty and unused. Dang I wish that was a different color....

Motor pulled nicely! Engine bay was also painted, interior looked solid minus the center console, also remember the sunroof headliner missing. clutch felt good.Paint peeling badly on drivers door, rust on the rear wheel arches, rockers pretty darn rusty, back panel in between taillights was banged up, center console was kind of janky, spare tire well was rusted out and repaired with sheet metal and rivets. wire loom in engine bay had been worked on and was rewrapped in red electrical tape (entire loom) looked funky. shift linkage was the worst I've ever felt in an 02, bumpers were dented, air dam pretty thrashed... I passed on the car.

Typical lipstick on a pig. And what a bad shade of lipstick too.

The word being out that these cars are in high demand has many a fool flipping and selling. They think every car is worth tons of money. Same people who don't even know anything about them are all in the game of trying to make a buck. unsustainable demand to run dry for non tii and plane Jane beater cars. Too many are not worth the effort or money to make nice and right. At 6K you are near enough to spend a few grand more and get way better.

But then again, there is an ass for every seat. Those in the know, know what to buy.
